This place is great! With their online appointment request, I was able to schedule a mattress pickup for just two days... away (the first place I called was unfortunately booked until next month). My apartment location is a little confusing, but the guys making the pickup were super nice about it and made it to my place no problem. The whole process only took about ten minutes, complete with a receipt for my donation. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing to make any donations or furniture or other large items. Schedule Your Furniture Donation Pick Up (Free, Fast, & Simple)

Do you have neatly used furniture that you no longer need? If so, you should consider donating them to the Christian Army Registered 501(c) Charity to put a smile on someone’s face.  The best part is, you don’t even have to leave your home to do this. Whenever you are ready, Furniture Donation Pickup will come down to your home or office and pick up any items you want to donate to charity, free of charge. If you’re moving houses, we can pick up furniture you no longer need before the movers come around to haul your properties. We have a simple online form where you can schedule a pickup, and our services are professional and efficient.

Why You Should Donate Furniture or Donate Appliances to Charity

Donations are a great way to give back to society and help people in need. But the people who get these items are not the only beneficiaries. As a donor, you also enjoy exciting benefits when you give out your furniture and appliances.

Tax advantages when you donate furniture

Furniture and appliances are big-ticket items, and they attract huge tax write-offs. For instance, when you donate home appliances like refrigerators and computers, you can get up to a $250 write-off on your taxes. If you’re giving away a complete bedroom set, you can claim up to $1000 in tax-deductible donations.

When you schedule your donation pickup with Furniture Donation Pickup, you get donation receipts—with these receipts, you can go ahead to claim your tax-deductible donations from the IRS. We will list the items you’re giving away plus their current market value in your donation receipts. This way, you can swiftly reconcile your records with the IRS and get tax deductions.

Environmentally-responsible

Frankly, humans already dispose of too much furniture—nearly 700,000 tons of furniture end up in landfills every year. Interestingly, more than half of the furniture we throw away is still usable. If you want to save the earth, then you need to put old and usable furniture to better use.

Instead of dumping old furniture in the trash, you can give these items to the Christian Army 501 (c) Charity. It’s free of charge, and Furniture Donation Pickup will even pick them up from your home.  With increasing conversations around global warming and climate change, donating furniture can be your way of saving our planet.

If you’re looking for a way to make an impact and help others, you should consider donating furniture you do not need to charity. You don’t have to do any hard work when you choose Furniture Donation Pickup. We will haul your furniture for free so that you can make an impact right from your home. Simply schedule a pickup, and we’ll promptly get to it.

Why Customers Love Donating With Furniture Donation Pickup

Furniture Donation Pickup collects items donated to the Christian Army 501(c)3 Charity Donation Center at no cost. We offer a great alternative to other charities like the Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill Donation Pickup, furniture banks, and Salvation Army Pickup. When you schedule a pickup with Furniture Donation Pickup, we come to your home to haul the furniture, free of charge. Make donations when you want at no cost.

Do you have to wash clothes before donating to the Salvation Army? Generally, it is best to wash clothes and other fabric pieces before donating to the Salvation Army Charity. You don’t want the new owner inheriting any stains, dirt, and smell on your clothes.

If there are permanent stains on the fabrics, they may not be a good fit for donation. Most times, badly-stained clothing and fabric items end up in the trash, and no one benefits from them. You should consider giving out such items to animal shelters.

How do I donate to the Salvation Army? Visit the Salvation Army website to make a charitable donation to people in need. You can donate items in four specific categories: Clothes, Misc, Heavy Furniture, and Light Furniture.

Just like Furniture Donation Pickup, Salvation Army has four steps for donations:

  1. Verify your location to confirm that you can schedule a pickup online. If this isn’t available in your area, you can call the toll-free line to book a donation pickup or find a drop-off location in your region.
  2. Add the items you want to pick up.
  3. Choose your preferred pickup date. Here, you can add any special instructions to help the driver.
  4. Fill in your contact information and the pickup address.

What does the Salvation Army do with donations? The Salvation Army sells all donated items at its thrift stores at low prices. Proceeds from item sales are used to fund its Adult Rehabilitation Centers. These centers restore and transform the lives of people struggling with drug and alcohol addictions.
