There are three Goodwill retail stores and donation centers in Pearland, all of which will accept donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, books, toys, and other household items. Goodwill’s mission is to provide employment and career growth opportunities to those with barriers to employment, and 95 cents out of every dollar spent in their stores goes into their job training and placement programs. You can make your donations at the donation center in the back of any of the three Goodwill retail stores in town, or you can have your donation picked up for a small fee.
All of the Goodwill Stores in the Houston area are partnered with College HUNKS Hauling & Moving to make donation pickup easy and stress-free. You can set an appointment for a donation pick up on the College HUNKS website. Goodwill also partners with TaskRabbit for donation pickup services available seven days a week. You can set an appointment on the TaskRabbit app to have someone pick up and deliver your donation, and the best part is that all the proceeds go to local charities!

Forgotten Angels is a charity founded in 2001 by Renee McGuire, a Pearland business owner, to help her friends find services for their adult children with disabilities. Forgotten Angels has boomed in size over the last 21 years and now provides support and services to over 100 disabled individuals. Volunteers of all ages are welcome at this location, and they’re very flexible about scheduling time for volunteering around your schedule. Forgotten Angels know it can be hard to take time out of a busy week to serve others so they work hard to provide that opportunity to members of the community.
